Join us as we celebrate the lives and music of Joe Cocker and Leon Russell with a performance of their epic 1970 live album, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, in its entirety. This show will celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Fillmore East concert from which MD&E was created. As a special tribute to the musical legacy of Leon Russell, the seventeen-piece all star band will also be performing selections from Mr. Russell’s solo catalogue. Featuring Mike Doussan, John Paul Carmody, Marc Stone, Danny Abel, Arsene DeLay, Antoine Diel, Margie Perez, Dana Abbott, Amy Trail, Hannah Kreiger Benson, Jamey St. Pierre, Lucas Davenport, Tom Worrell, Will Thompson, Scott Jackson, Steve Campbell, Mike Kobrin, Colin Davis and more TBA! We’re also very happy to announce that we’ll be partnering with the New Orleans Musicians Clinic this year! Founded in 1998 by a coalition of music advocates, the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC) became the 1st comprehensive clinic for musicians, performing artist and cultural workers in the USA and currently provides culturally-sensitive primary medical care to more than 2,500 patients.
